Start/Stop Service

Whether you need to start, stop or transfer electric service, IREA will need to know your service address and the dates you wish to do so. For those discontinuing service with the Association, a forwarding address for the final bill will need to be supplied. Please note that IREA prefers at least 3 days notice for all services and does not make scheduling arrangements on weekends or holidays. More detailed information for obtaining electric service is provided below.

To obtain service for new construction a work order is needed to start the process.  Information required on a work order includes the property owner or company’s name and address and legal description of the property.  To start the work order process, please call your local IREA office. If calling the Sedalia Headquarters, select option #4. For more information on new construction, please view our New Construction/Builders page.
